Yoga is a spiritual discipline, which originated in India and is at least five thousand years old. Knowledge about Kundalini Yoga was traditionally kept in secret and available only to a small group of people. Thanks to yoga master Yogi Bhajan, who in 1969 moved from India to USA and started spreading Kundalini Yoga to the west, anyone who wants nowadays have the possibility to benefit from this powerful and wonderful technology.

Kundalini Yoga is very effective. It can rather quickly improve physical and mental health, create a balance between body, mind and soul. It strengthens the nervous and the immune system, regulates the work of the endocrine system. When practising Kundalini Yoga the parasympathetic nervous system is activated. This system is responsible for recovering and healing processes in the body. Combination of all this leads to good health, better sleep and stress reduction. Life is experienced in a different way. It becomes easier to manage an active life style and different tasks in everyday life, to be more present and just enjoy every moment.

”Kundalini” is the energy, the life force, which according to yoga we all have. In other words it is humans creative potential, it is everything we can become. That is why Kundalini Yoga is also a technology for self-knowledge. It can give opportunity to come into deeper contact with ones self, find the real self, to become more conscious about ones own needs and goals in life. To awaken kundalini power means to experience ones own uniqueness, to start seeing and believe in ones own abilities, power, capacity, to dare to develop them and to find ones own way in life. Practicing Kundalini Yoga can lead to self-fulfilment, joy and happiness.

Good news is that this type of yoga is suitable for everybody. Everything is done according to ones abilities, it is not necessary to have flexible body or to be in a good physical shape. Everybody who wants can begin practising this yoga and develop in ones own rhythm.

Every Kundalini Yoga pass consists of:

  • kriya (physical and breathing exercises which are done in a special sequence)
  • deep relaxation
  • breath- or mantra meditation
